In 1968, at the ripe old age of 18, I walked into my first recording studio, Golden Voice Studio in South Pekin, Illinois. Our band, the Sect, recorded four songs over two days under the watchful and expert eye of studio owner and producer Jerry Milam (Jerry recorded Gold Albums for Dan Fogelberg and recorded just about every successful band that came out of the midwest in the late 60s and early 70s).
From that first moment I was hooked on the studio and the art of recording. Over the years I dreamed of a studio where I could relax and record at my leisure. The end product of that dream is Grandad's Studio.
